17 From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church. 18 When they arrived, he said to them: “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia. 19 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears and in the midst of severe testing by the plots of my Jewish opponents. 20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. 21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
We pray for Lebanon, Gaza and Israel, Ukraine and Russia, Yemen, Sudan, Afghanistan, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and all countries in a war zone, for refugees, for the homeless, for the hungry, for justice, for those fighting climate change; for our counties, for our families and friends and ourselves. Send your angels to stand with us at this time we pray. Amen

May the blessing of the Spirit fall like sweet rain upon you

17 De Milet, Paul envoya chercher les anciens de l'église à Éphèse. 18 Lorsqu’ils furent arrivés, il leur dit : « Vous savez comment je me suis conduit tout le temps que j’ai passé avec vous, depuis le premier jour où je suis entré dans la province d’Asie. 19 J’ai servi le Seigneur avec beaucoup d’humilité et avec larmes, au milieu de la dure épreuve que me causaient les complots de mes adversaires juifs. 20 Vous savez que je n’ai pas hésité à vous prêcher tout ce qui pouvait vous être utile, mais que je vous ai enseigné publiquement et de maison en maison. 21 J’ai déclaré aux Juifs et aux Grecs qu’ils doivent se tourner vers Dieu dans la repentance et avoir foi en notre Seigneur Jésus.
