In a world of great wealth
Where many are hungry
Many persecuted
Guide us into your way of hope, justice and love

Acts 19
 
⁸ Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.⁹ But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. ¹⁰ This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.
 
We pray for Gaza and Israel, Ukraine and Russia, Yemen, Sudan, Afghanistan, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, for refugees, for the homeless, for the hungry, for justice, for those fighting climate change; for our counties, for our families and friends and ourselves. Send your angels to stand with us at this time we pray. Amen

8 Paulus betrat die Synagoge und sprach dort drei Monate lang freimütig und argumentierte überzeugend über das Reich Gottes. 9 Aber einige von ihnen wurden hartnäckig; sie weigerten sich zu glauben und verleumdeten den Weg öffentlich. Also verließ Paulus sie. Er nahm die Jünger mit und diskutierte täglich im Hörsaal des Tyrannus. 10 Dies ging zwei Jahre lang so weiter, sodass alle Juden und Griechen, die in der Provinz Asien lebten, das Wort des Herrn hörten.
