Reading Acts 10
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
We pray for all those we carry in our hearts. We pray for peace in all countries with war including Gaza and Ukraine, for elections in the US and in France, for work to halt climate change, for the 100 million people who are refugees or asylum seekers, for the homeless, the hungry, the distressed. Spirit of the Living God be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen

44وبينما بطرس يتكلم بهذا الكلام حل الروح القدس على جميع الذين سمعوا الرسالة. 45فتعجب المؤمنون المختونون الذين جاءوا مع بطرس من انسكاب موهبة الروح القدس على الأمم أيضا. 46لأنهم كانوا يسمعونهم يتكلمون بألسنة ويسبحون الله. فقال بطرس: 47 حقا لا يستطيع أحد أن يمنع أن يعتمدوا بالماء. لقد قبلوا الروح القدس مثلنا تماماً». 48 فأمر أن يعتمدوا باسم يسوع المسيح. ثم طلبوا من بطرس أن يمكث عندهم أياما قليلة.
