We call on the power of God
To meet us in our helplessness
God in our thinking
God in our speaking
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Acts 1
12 Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
We pray for peace in Gaza, for Israeli hostages, for peace in Ukraine, Russia, for Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, for Hong Kong, China; for work to halt climate change, for the 100 million people who are refugees or asylum seekers, for the homeless, the hungry, the distressed. We pray for all who are anxious. Give them your peace and calm in their hearts. Have your hand upon us, our homes and our loved ones. Be with us all we pray this day and every day. Amen.

God to enfold me
God to surround me
God in my sleeping
God in my waking
God in my watching
God in my hoping
God in my life
God in my soul
God in my heart
