Reading Luke 24
28 As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked ahead as if he were going on. 29 But they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight.
We pray for peace in Gaza, for Israeli hostages, for peace in Ukraine, Russia, for Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, for Hong Kong, China; for work to halt climate change, for the 100 million people who are refugees or asylum seekers, for the homeless, the hungry, the distressed. We pray for all who are anxious. Give them your peace and calm in their hearts. Have your hand upon us, our homes and our loved ones. Be with us all we pray this day and every day. Amen.

28 Alors qu'ils approchaient du village vers lequel ils se rendaient, il marcha devant lui comme s'il allait en avant. 29 Mais ils le pressèrent vivement, disant : « Reste avec nous, car le soir approche et le jour est presque fini. » Alors il est allé rester avec eux. 30 Lorsqu'il fut à table avec eux, il prit du pain, le bénit, le rompit et le leur donna. 31 Alors leurs yeux s'ouvrirent, et ils le reconnurent ; et il disparut de leur vue.
Nous prions pour la paix à Gaza, pour les otages israéliens, pour la paix en Ukraine, en Russie, pour le Liban, la Syrie, l'Afghanistan, l'Iran, le Yémen, pour Hong Kong, la Chine ; pour lutter contre le changement climatique, pour les 100 millions de personnes réfugiées ou demandeuses d’asile, pour les sans-abri, les affamés et les personnes en détresse. Nous prions pour tous ceux qui sont anxieux. Donnez-leur votre paix et votre calme dans leur cœur. Ayez la main sur nous, nos maisons et nos proches. Soyez avec nous tous ce que nous prions aujourd'hui et tous les jours. Amen.
