Our loving God,
We thank you for the love in our lives, the people we connect with, the warm sunshine, cool rain and evening stillness. We thank you for peaceful moments, busy chaotic moments and moments of reflection. We thank you for holding us so that we can hold each other in these strange times. We open our arms to you, so that we can channel your light and love into the world.
But Lord we also ask your forgiveness, for our mistakes. When we have forgotten how to speak to people with kindness, soften our tongues Lord.
When we become obsessed with ourselves, our possessions, our appearance or our reputation, guide our thoughts and prayers to those who really need them. When we become negative and judgemental towards others, Lord gently remind us of our own faults and please hear us when we say we are truly sorry. Please forgive us Loving God and let us walk beside you as we try to do and be better, as Christ did. Guide us through this coming week with your wisdom. Be with us as we support each other in prayer, conversation and worship. We give you a pledge of our faithfulness and loyalty, that we will praise you, share your love and Glory and be kind and fair in every part of our lives. We lift our voices, hands and hearts to you Lord, feel our love for you.

Reflection: Shepherds
The story of the good shepherd gives us loads of images. Have you ever met a shepherd? Shepherd's care for their sheep and protect them from wolves and predators. Sheep will die without a good shepherd. When I was little my favourite book was about Sooty the sheepdog who fought off the bad wolf who came to harass the sheep and even stole one. Its all powerful imagery.
My grandma had a picture of sheep in her bedroom and when I stayed over she told me to count sheep to go to sleep. The sheep in the picture were enclosed in a field by a gate. So the gate protected the sheep and controlled who came in and who came out.
Sheep and sheep dogs are trained to respond to the shepherd’s voice. A shout, a word, a whistle means everything-from the shepherd. There is the story of the man who got lost in the mountains in a snow storm. He hears the voice of a well known mountain guide who tells him to jump. It’s a drop and he can’t see what is at the bottom but he trusts the voice. He jumps and is saved. Gods voice is like that mountain guide.
Some powerful gates for me are the gates to the nunnery on Iona, which are latticed and latched and creak in the dark, nights on the island. Or the sheep gate on Holy Island which is a metal gate that lets only one person through and is too complex for the sheep in the field to fathom. Gates control space and are boundaries to activity. Gate keepers are important people like lock keepers and shepherds. The good shepherd slept and kept guard across the sheepfold. He controlled what went in and out and so protected the sheep. Jesus says that is his job with us. He is our shepherd.
There are always many voices competing for our attention. There are shepherds who do not share Jesus’ love for the sick and the vulnerable, and those on the edge. In this covid 19 lockdown there are strident voices and voices that sounds strong, smart and seductive. Be careful, be wise. Do these leaders care for even the one lost sheep? Are they giving life, food and water to their people? What gate do we lead others through? What gates do we construct to protect ourselves physically, spiritually, emotionally? Boundaries are important to create safe spaces. Good shepherds have integrity like the wise mountain guide, they know the terrain, they know the paths and the pitfalls. So be careful which voice you are listening to and choose your shepherds wisely. Amen

反思：牧羊人
好牧人的故事給了我們許多形象。 你看過牧羊人嗎？ 牧羊人照顧羊群並保護它們免受狼和掠食者的侵害。 沒有好牧人，羊就會死。 當我小的時候，我最喜歡的書是關於牧羊犬烏蒂（Sooty）的故事，它擊退了來騷擾羊的壞狼，甚至偷走了一隻羊。 這是所有強大的圖像。
我奶奶的臥室裡有一張羊的照片，當我留下來時，她要我數羊去睡覺。 圖中的羊被一扇門圍在田野裡。 所以大門保護著羊群，控制著誰進誰出。

Notre Dieu d'amour,
Nous vous remercions pour l'amour dans nos vies, les personnes avec qui nous sommes en contact, le chaud soleil, la pluie fraîche et le calme du soir. Nous vous remercions pour les moments paisibles, les moments chaotiques chargés et les moments de réflexion. Nous vous remercions de nous soutenir afin que nous puissions nous soutenir les uns les autres en ces temps étranges. Nous vous ouvrons nos bras afin de pouvoir canaliser votre lumière et votre amour dans le monde.
Mais Seigneur, nous demandons aussi ton pardon pour nos erreurs. Quand nous avons oublié comment parler aux gens avec gentillesse, adoucis nos langues Seigneur.
Lorsque nous devenons obsédés par nous-mêmes, nos biens, notre apparence ou notre réputation, guidez nos pensées et nos prières vers ceux qui en ont vraiment besoin. Lorsque nous devenons négatifs et jugeons les autres, le Seigneur nous rappelle gentiment nos propres défauts et écoute-nous lorsque nous disons que nous sommes vraiment désolés. S'il vous plaît, pardonnez-nous en aimant Dieu et laissez-nous marcher à vos côtés alors que nous essayons de faire et d'être meilleurs, comme le Christ l'a fait. Guide-nous tout au long de la semaine à venir avec ta sagesse. Soyez avec nous alors que nous nous soutenons mutuellement dans la prière, la conversation et l’adoration. Nous vous donnons un gage de notre fidélité et de notre loyauté, que nous vous louerons, partagerons votre amour et votre gloire et serons gentils et justes dans chaque aspect de notre vie. Réflexion : bergers
L’histoire du bon berger nous donne plein d’images. Avez-vous déjà rencontré un berger ? Les bergers prennent soin de leurs moutons et les protègent des loups et des prédateurs. Les moutons mourront sans un bon berger. Quand j'étais petite, mon livre préféré parlait de Sooty, le chien de berger, qui combattait le méchant loup qui venait harceler les moutons et en volait même un. Ce sont des images toutes puissantes.
Ma grand-mère avait une photo de moutons dans sa chambre et quand je restais chez elle, elle me disait de compter les moutons pour m'endormir. Les moutons sur la photo étaient enfermés dans un champ par une porte. Ainsi, la porte protégeait les moutons et contrôlait qui entrait et qui sortait.
Les moutons et les chiens de berger sont dressés pour répondre à la voix du berger. Un cri, un mot, un sifflet signifie tout – de la part du berger. Il y a l’histoire de l’homme qui s’est perdu dans les montagnes lors d’une tempête de neige. Il entend la voix d'un guide de montagne bien connu qui lui dit de sauter. C’est une goutte et il ne voit pas ce qu’il y a au fond mais il fait confiance à la voix. Il saute et est sauvé. La voix de Dieu est comme celle de ce guide de montagne.
Pour moi, certaines portes puissantes sont les portes du couvent d'Iona, qui sont grillagées et verrouillées et grincent dans l'obscurité des nuits sur l'île. Ou la porte des moutons sur Holy Island, une porte métallique qui ne laisse passer qu'une seule personne et qui est trop complexe à comprendre pour les moutons dans les champs. Les portes contrôlent l’espace et constituent des limites à l’activité. Les gardiens de portes sont des personnes importantes comme les éclusiers et les bergers. Le bon berger dormait et montait la garde autour de la bergerie. Il contrôlait ce qui entrait et sortait et protégeait ainsi les moutons. Jésus dit que c'est son travail avec nous. Il est notre berger.
Il y a toujours de nombreuses voix qui se disputent notre attention. Il y a des bergers qui ne partagent pas l’amour de Jésus pour les malades, les vulnérables et ceux qui sont en difficulté. Dans ce confinement dû au covid 19, il y a des voix stridentes et des voix fortes, intelligentes et séduisantes. Soyez prudent, soyez sage. Ces dirigeants se soucient-ils même de la seule brebis perdue ? Donnent-ils la vie, la nourriture et l’eau à leur peuple ? Par quelle porte conduisons-nous les autres ? Quelles portes construisons-nous pour nous protéger physiquement, spirituellement et émotionnellement ? Les limites sont importantes pour créer des espaces sûrs. Les bons bergers sont intègres comme le sage guide de montagne, ils connaissent le terrain, ils connaissent les sentiers et les embûches. Faites donc attention à la voix que vous écoutez et choisissez judicieusement vos bergers. Amen
