Come, Jesus be out guest,
stay with us for the day is beginning/ending
with friend, with stranger,
with neighbour, and the well known ones, be among us
For the doors of our house we open
And the doors of our hearts we leave ajar.
Song “Christ be in our waking”
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Psalm 55
Lord, confuse the wicked, confound their words,
for I see violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they prowl about on its walls;
malice and abuse are within it.
11 Destructive forces are at work in the city;
threats and lies never leave its streets.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today. For Israelis and Palestinians, Armenians, Kosovo, those who cant afford fuel, food or housing, for those on strike, those suffering in the heatwaves and fires, Ukraine and Russia, for Syria, Myanmar, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, the Rohingyas, the Uyghurs, Belarus, Iran, the US, Afghanistan, the UK, our own country, doctors and nurses, carers, teachers, those confronting injustice, and pressing issues of climate change, for the millions of refugees, our own families, friends and ourselves…Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. Amen
This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
Amen
