Spirit of God
You are the breath of creation
The wind of change
Speak through my heart, my mind, my actions
In the depth of silence
No words are needed
We are just called to listen
To the movement of the Spirit
And in the midst of confusion
To hear your voice. Amen
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Psalm 42
I will say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me?
Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
10 As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries taunt me,
While they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
11 Why are you in despair, my soul?
And why are you restless within me?
Wait for God, for I will again praise him
For the help of your presence, my God.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today.
Palestine and Israel, Sudan, Yemen, Hong Kong, China, Syria, Thailand, our own country, for those confronting injustice, and pressing issues of climate change, for those fleeing fires or flooding, for those who are hungry, distraught, for the many refugees throughout the world, for those on strike, for the homeless, our families and friends and ourselves…Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.
Song ”Lead kindly light”
This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
