Spirit of God
You are the breath of creation
The wind of change
Speak through my heart, my mind, my actions
Loving God
Come into my confused and troubled life
And send your Spirit
To work in me
To realign me
So that I may know
You in my life
Your joy, your peace, your Shalom
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Reading Psalm 45
Strap Your sword on Your thigh, Mighty One,
In Your splendour and majesty!
4 And in Your majesty ride on victoriously,
For the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness;
Let Your right hand teach You awesome things.
5 Your arrows are sharp;
The peoples fall under You;
Your arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today: for the families of those who died today trying to reach the UK, people fleeing fires, war or flooding, for Ukrainian and Russian people, for Palestinians and Israelis, Sudan, Yemen, Hong Kong, China, Syria, Thailand, our own country, for those confronting injustice, and pressing issues of climate change, for those who are hungry, distraught, for the many refugees throughout the world, for those on strike, for the homeless, our families and friends and ourselves…Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.
Song “I shall not want”
This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
Amen
