We stand against hunger
Against injustice
And we hope for a better world
Where everyone is housed
And fed
A world of abundance
Give us wisdom and courage
On our journey
Song “Psalm 23”
Forgive us
We often choose the wrong way
We suffer pain loss and confusion
We are angry and sad
Help us to have compassion for ourselves and others
To create a world that is good and just
And to carry your dream within us
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Psalm 52
Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero?
Why do you boast all day long,
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
2 You who practice deceit,
your tongue plots destruction;
it is like a sharpened razor.
3 You love evil rather than good,
falsehood rather than speaking the truth.
4 You love every harmful word,
you deceitful tongue!
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today. For Afghans, for Syria, Hong Kong, Belarus, Ethiopia, Yemen, Gaza, our burning world and those dealing with the fires, for politicians to act on climate change, for all with Covid today and their families, doctors and nurses, carers, teachers, those confronting injustice, for the many refugees, our own country, our families and friends and ourselves. Spirit of the Living God be present with us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.
Song “Little things with great love”
This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
Amen
