Loving God
Bring healing to our bones
Bring life and redemption
to us and the earth
Remind us of your resurrection power
Song “There is a hope”
You entrusted the earth to us
And we have destroyed it
The forests are burning
Animals are dying
Our world is sick
Forgive us
Restore our vision and help us to act bravely to save this precious world you have given us.
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Reading Psalm 21
Lord, in Your strength the king will be glad,
And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!
2 You have given him his heart’s desire,
And You have not withheld the request of his lips.
3 For You meet him with the blessings of good things;
You set a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked for life from You,
You gave it to him,
Length of days forever and ever.
5 His glory is great through Your [b]salvation,
Splendour and majesty You place upon him.
6 For You make him most blessed forever;
You make him joyful with the joy of Your presence.
Our prayers
We pray for peace in the US, for the hope of a vaccine, for those in continuing lockdown, for children and teaching staff, for doctors and health workers, for people who are isolated and exhausted, for wise decisions by government, for the people of Syria, Yemen, Thailand, Nigeria, and Hong Kong, for the UK and for those countries we never hear about, and those we know who need our help and prayers and who we carry in our hearts tonight.
Send your Spirit to heal bodies, minds and spirits and help people to turn away from what harms them. Let your angels be beside them and us at this time and protect us. In Jesus Name we pray.
Closing Responses
Bless to us
The moon that is above us
The earth that is beneath us
Friends and family around us
Your image within us
And the rest that is before us.
Amen.
