Loving God
Bring healing to our bones
Bring to us and the earth
life and redemption
Remind us of your resurrection power
Song “Is he worthy”
You entrusted the earth to us
And we have destroyed it
The forests are burning
Animals are dying
Our world is sick
Forgive us
Restore our vision and help us to act bravely to save this precious world you have given us.
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Reading Psalm 18
The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock;
And exalted be the God of my salvation,
47 The God who executes vengeance for me,
And subdues peoples under me.
48 He rescues me from my enemies;
You indeed lift me above those who rise up against me;
You rescue me from a violent man.
49 Therefore I will give thanks to You among the nations, Lord,
And I will sing praises to Your name.
50 He gives great salvation to His king,
And shows faithfulness to His anointed,
To David and his descendants forever.
Our prayers
We pray for peace in the US, for the hope of a vaccine, for those in lockdown, for children and teaching staff, for doctors and health workers, for people who are isolated and exhausted, for wise decisions by government, for the people of Bolivia, Belarus, Syria, Yemen, Armenia, Thailand, Nigeria, and Hong Kong, for the UK and for those countries we never hear about, and those we know who need our help and prayers and who we carry in our hearts tonight.
Send your Spirit to heal bodies, minds and spirits and help people to turn away from what harms them. Let your angels be beside them and us at this time and protect us. In Jesus Name we pray.
Closing Responses
Bless to us
The moon that is above us
The earth that is beneath us
Friends and family around us
Your image within us
And the rest that is before us.
Amen.
