We humbly thank you for this day
Help us not to waste it

Reading 1 Corinthians
20 So what about these wise men, these scholars, these brilliant debaters of this world’s great affairs? God has made them all look foolish and shown their wisdom to be useless nonsense. 21 For God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never find God through human brilliance, and then he stepped in and saved all those who believed his message, which the world calls foolish and silly.
Our Prayers
We pray for people and situations that are on our hearts today, including the ongoing lockdown, those with Covid 19, those going to school, the shooting of black people in the US, the chaotic weather, desperate people crossing the sea in dinghies, continuing deaths from Covid 19, Belarus, arrests in Hong Kong and the ongoing wars in Syria and Yemen, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian democracy, the rise of fascism, the government, the Rohinga Muslims, Muslims being persecuted in China, protection for key workers and adequate PPE, protection for Black and Asian people, for people on low or no incomes, for those with underlying health conditions and those over 60, care for those who are alone and those suffering with depression, protection for asylum seekers and refugees and ensuring that food is reaching the vulnerable…and global warming.
May we not fail you though we face great dangers Give us your peace, your wisdom and your strength. Amen
